Update: 2025
We're packing our bags (and sunglasses) and hitting the road for the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) annual meeting in Los Angeles. Join the Virtual Field team from April 25-28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
We are thrilled to again attend the premier event dedicated to anterior segment surgery and meet and mingle with the top leaders in cataract and refractive surgery.
Stop by our booth in the exhibit hall to experience how visual field testing with Virtual Field can create exceptional eye exam experiences for your patients pre- and post-surgery and as part of your routine progression testing.
Virtual Field offers critical exam testing experiences for cataract and refractive surgeons. Our modern virtual reality-based headset offers kinetic perimetry (Goldmann perimetry) testing, which is particularly valuable for assessing peripheral vision limitations often affected by cataracts.
Additionally, Virtual Field offers pupilometry testing for crucial insights into neurological function, revealing underlying conditions that could impact surgical outcomes.
These tests are integral throughout the surgical process. During pre-operative assessments, they establish baseline visual fields, differentiate cataract-related vision loss from other pathologies, and inform patient education about expected outcomes.
In surgical planning, they guide intraocular lens (IOL) selection and refractive correction by assessing the impact of cataracts on peripheral vision. Post-operatively, these tools monitor for complications like posterior capsule opacification (PCO) and track the effect of surgery on pre-existing conditions. For refractive surgery, they ensure no pre-existing visual field defects will be exacerbated by the procedure and monitor visual function post-operatively.
At Virtual Field, we proudly empower surgeons with comprehensive data, leading to optimized outcomes and enhanced patient care.
So stop by and see us at ASCRS. We'll be the booth with amazing people, amazing technology, and a relentless commitment to creating exceptional eye exam experiences for doctors, patients, and staff.
2024
We’re pleased to be a sponsor of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) annual meeting in Boston, MA, April 5-8, at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center.
ASCRS is celebrating its 50th year and its website aptly states attendees can be inspired by history and part of defining the future. As a partner in our collective mission to enhance patient care, we are helping to define that future, and will be showcasing the VF3 Pro, our most advanced virtual visual field testing experience to date.
Virtual Field is an eye exam experience designed for anterior segment surgeons, ophthalmologists, technicians, and their teams. Our goal was to address the critical needs of accuracy, speed, efficiency, and comfort in diagnosing and monitoring cataracts and refractive conditions. Virtual Field does just that, offering features such as eye tracking, pupillometry, and kinetic visual field testing. We also recently released the 24-2C visual field exam, and already thousands of exams have been completed. Virtual Field ensures that patients have a comfortable, accurate, and exceptional exam experience in a fraction of the time traditional tests take.
The journey of Virtual Field began with a simple yet ambitious goal: to transform the eye exam experience. Today, with over 1.5 million visual field exams under our belt, we continue to innovate to serve the needs of eye care professionals and their patients.
I invite you to experience Virtual Field firsthand by visiting us at booth 2804 during ASCRS 2024 in Boston. It will be a unique opportunity to discover how Virtual Field can transform the eye exam experience in your practice. If you’re not attending, you can get a live demonstration online by scheduling here.
I look forward to meeting many of you in Boston and as we work together to redefine eye care and testing.
Warm regards,
Rachel Krug
